An elongated holding device (20) for holding paving blocks (86) in place. The device (20) has a pair of longitudinally spaced ends (36 & 38), an elongated vertical plate (24) having a front paving block contacting face (26) to define a border for a paved area, and a rear surface (28). The device (20) also includes a plurality of discrete, elongated footing elements (30) which are attached to a lower portion (28a) of the rear surface (28) of the plate (24). The footing elements (30) are spaced apart longitudinally of the plate (24) and extend rearwardly therefrom. A first connector structure (40) which includes an elongated, longitudinally extending tab (44) is located at one end of the device (20). The footing elements (30) each including a respective second connector structure (42) in the form of a tab receiving opening (54). Each of the tab receiving openings (54) is configured to receive and mate with the tab (44) of the first connector element (40) to thereby form a secure connection therebetween. The presence of a connector structure (42) at each footing element (30) increases the overall ability of the device to be adapted to fit the edging requirements and characteristics of paving areas of various sizes and shapes.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif de fixation allongé (20) servant à fixer les pavés (86) en place. Ce dispositif (20) comporte une paire d'extrémités espacées longitudinalement (36 et 38), une plaque verticale allongée (24) présentant une face avant de contact de pavés (26) permettant de former le bord d'une zone pavée, et une surface arrière (28). En outre, ce dispositif (26) comprend plusieurs éléments d'empattement allongés distincts (30) fixés à une partie inférieure (28a) de la surface arrière (28) de la plaque (24). Ces éléments d'empattement (30) sont longitudinalement espacés de la plaque (24), et s'étendent à l'arrière de celle-ci. Une première structure de connecteur (40) comprenant une attache allongée s'étendant longitudinalement (44) est située à une première extrémité du dispositif (20). De plus, ces éléments d'empattement (30) comprennent chacun une seconde structure de connecteur (42) en forme d'ouverture de réception d'attache (54). Chacune de ces ouvertures de réception d'attache (54) est configurée pour recevoir et pour venir en contact avec l'attache (44) du premier élément de connecteur (40), de manière à former entre eux une connexion sûre. La présence de cette structure de connecteur (42) sur chaque élément d'empattement (30) augmente la capacité totale du dispositif à être adapté pour correspondre aux exigences et aux caractéristiques de bordure des zones pavées de diverses tailles et formes.
