Le dispositif comporte un clapet solidaire du piston, un second piston et un système hydraulique disposé tout entier dans le corps et comprenant principalement une pompe, des électro-vannes, un cylindre d'équilibrage, un reservoir à basse pression et des circuits d'alimentation, pour déplacer le clapet et le piston vers une position d'armement et l'immobiliser par intermittence.
