ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An apparatus designed to indicate oestrus and/or diseases in mammals, particularly cows, by determining the temperature of the milk leaving the cow. The apparatus includes a temperature sensing element which is arranged to change its electrical resistance in dependence on its temperature and to control the activation of a number of indicating means via an electronic circuit in order to activate these means selectively at different levels of the temperature of the milk as sensed by said sensing element.
