ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A device for indicating a horizontal direction and an angle sector about said direction. The device comprises a disc rotatably supported in a housing with its center of gra- vity offset outside the position of its axis of rotation. The disc is transparent except for a substantially sector-shaped, non-transparent area, Two or more reading members are positioned relative to the sector-shaped area so as to be covered by the area when the housing shows a horizontal direction. The area is moved from covering the reading members when the disc is rotated through an angle, exceeding a predetermined angle, rela- tive to the housing.
