The invention relates to a device for detecting and measuring the flow rate of a radioactive material leak from the primary circuit of a pressurized water nuclear reactor situated inside a confinement housing, the leak flowing into a space (7) under the lining of said primary circuit. The device according to the invention is comprised of two probes (8, 9) provided in the confinement housing and having each a measurement chamber (16) isolated from the ambient radiation by means of a shielding (18), said measurement chambers (16) being scavanged by gas streams coming from suction orifices (10, 11) situated respectively in said space under the lining and in the free volume of the confinement housing, the probes (8, 9) further having a sensor (17) for detecting the radiation emitted by the isotope (13) of the nitrogen contained in each of the measurement chambers (16), and processing means (19, 20) to indicate the presence of a leak and its flow rate.
2118712 9401747 L'invention concerne un dispositif de détection et de mesure du débit d'une fuite de matière radioactive provenant d'un circuit primaire de réacteur nucléaire à eau pressurisée situé à l'intérieur d'une enceinte de confinement, la fuite débouchant dans un espace (7) sous chemisage dudit circuit primaire. Le dispositif selon l'invention comprend deux sondes (8, 9) placées dans l'enceinte du confinement, présentant chacune une chambre de mesure (16) isolée du rayonnement ambiant par un blindage (18), lesdites chambres de mesure (16) étant balayées par des courants gazeux provenant d'orifices d'aspiration (10, 11) situés respectivement dans ledit espace sous chemisage et dans le volume libre de l'enceinte de confinement, les sondes (8, 9) comportant en outre chacune un détecteur du rayonnement (17) émis par l'isotope (13) de l'azote contenu dans chacune des chambres de mesure (16), et des moyens de traitement (19, 20) pour indiquer la présence éventuelle d'une fuite et son débit.
