ABSTRACT/ The present invention relates to a device that can be installed on a cooking vessel such as a frying pan or a saucepan, with the help of which the steam or the like that rises from the food that is being fried or cooked can be filtered. The device has a frame (1) that encloses a discharge opening (3). A handle (2) extends from the frame (1). A holding device (6,7,8,9) is arranged on the frame (1), with which a filter element (5) can be secured, this filter element covering the upper surface of the cooking vessel./ Figure 1./
