The invention concerns a device provided with a movable grid (45) fitted on a carriage (40) and destined to intercept sheets to be laid down one by one on top of a pile building up. The shift of the carriage (40) is obtained by means of a planetary system consisting of a pinion (30) describing an arc, tough remaining permanently engaged in the rim (20). The pinion (30) is connected to the carriage (40) by a stud (44). Such a device is used in a sheet delivery station of a cutting machine producing package.
