The invention concerns a device for cutting, in a web of continuously moving material, a variable longitudinal profile with predetermined and controlled random sequence, while being a simple, inexpensive and easy-to-use device capable of coping with high production rates. The inventive cutting device (5) comprises a pair of cutting tools (60) including two circular blades (61) co-operating with an anvil roll (71) arranged perpendicularly to the moving direction D of the web of material. Said cutting tools (60) are mounted mobile along two axes relative to a frame (50): one axis of rotation (A) perpendicular to the anvil roll (71) so as to modify the cutting angle of each cutting tool and one axis of translation (B) parallel to the anvil roll (71) so as to modify the space between the two cutting tools (60). Each cutting tool (60) is coupled to a rotational drive mechanism (8) and a translational drive mechanism (90) controlled in combination along the two axes (A, B) by a central control unit based on a cutting line with variable profile and with a predetermined random sequence. The invention is applicable to the manufacture of paper, fabric, plastic film and the like and in particular to mail processing machines.
La présente invention concerne un dispositif de coupe permettant de découper, dans une laize de matière défilant en continu, un profil longitudinal vanable à séquence aléatoire prédéterminé et maîtnsé, tout en étant un dispositif simple, économique, facile à mettre oeuvre et pouvant répondre à des cadences de production élevée. Le dispositif de coupe (5) selon l'invention comporte une paire d'outils de coupe (60) comportant des couteaux circulaires (61) coopérant avec un contre-cylindre (71) disposé perpendiculaire- ment au sens de défilement D de la laize de matériau. Ces outils de coupe (60) sont montés mobiles selon deux axes par rapport à un bâti (50) : un axe de rotation (A) perpendiculaire au contre-cylindre (71) de manière à modifier l'angle de coupe de chaque outil de coupe et un axe de translation (B) parallèle au contre-cylindre (71) de manière à modifier l'intervalle entre les deux outils de coupe (60). Chaque outil de coupe (60) est couplé à un mécanisme d'entraînement en rotation (80) et un mécanisme d'entraînement en translation (90) commandés de manière combinée selon les deux axes (A, B) par une unité centrale de commande en fonction d'une ligne de coupe à profil variable et à séquence aléatoire donnée. Application : Domaines de la papeterie, du tissu, du film plastique ou similaire et en particulier le domaine des machines de traitement de courrier.
