ABSTRACT: During the reconstruction of the absorption dis- tribution in a layer of a body on the basis of measuring results obtained by means of a scanner, values derived from the measuring values are "spread" along the strip along which the relevant measuring value has been re- corded. These derived values are obtained from the measur- ing values by a convolution process, adjacent measuring values being assigned weighting factors in accordance with their distance from the strip. A simple and quick circuit arrangement for performing this convolution pro- cess is described.
