The invention relates to measuring the torsion of a rotating shaft by a laser beam and polarizing filters. The measuring device includes a laser beam generator (27), two polarizing filters (29, 31) rigidly connected to the shaft (25) and remote from each other, and a laser radiation receiver (33) that receives the laser beam passing through said two filters.

Le dispositif de mesure comprend un générateur de faisceau laser (27), deux filtres polarisants (29, 31) solidaires de l'arbre (25) et distants l'un de l'autre et un récepteur de rayonnement laser (33) recevant le faisceau laser ayant traversé ces deux filtres.
