The invention relates to a device for milling or enlarging the inside diameter or the inside contour of an earthwork such as a conduit for example, with a milling tool which is held on an extension inn on a carrier which can be positioned in the cross section to be milled, with the carrier having rolls for support and for traversing the cross section to be milled. Optimal working conditions can be achieved in such a way that the extension inn is gimbal-mounted on the carrier about a horizontal swiveling axis and about a further swiveling axis and the point of articulation of the extension arm is height-adjustable.
