Device For Monitoring Conveyor Belts. ABSTRACT A device is proposed for electro-mechanical monitoring of conveyor belts, in particular, in the vicinity of feeding stations, wherein a floatingly arranged frame is provided which may be either equipped with supporting rollers or co-operates with garlands of supporting rol- lers freely suspended thereon. In one embodiment, the frame is suspended or mounted floatingly in relation to a feeding station; in another embodiment, it is made resiliently flexible, as seen in the direction of travel, in order to be able to neutralize minor floating move- ments taking place during the operating condition. The electrical part of the monitoring device is in the form of a sensor which, when a predetermined amount of travel - produced by deflection of the frame in relation to the feeding station - is exceeded, produces a signal and switches off the conveyor belt drive.
