A device for opening printed products having a carrying body rotatable about an axis and a flow duct subjected to negative pressure. A suction head is designed as an adapter and is adaptably connectable to the carrying body. A pneumatically controllable gripper is also designed as an adapter and is adaptably connectable to the carrying body. The carrying body is intended for bearing either the suction head or the gripper, and the suction head and the gripper, respectively, arranged on the carrying body and connected to the flow duct.
