ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention provides a device for transporting loads along a pipeline within a container. In use, the container is placed in the pipeline and is propelled along the pipeline by means of fluid pressure which is applied to one end thereof. The device has the novel characteristic of being able to move both with and against the fluid flow thereby removing the need for two pipelines or means for reversing the fluid flow when it is desired to carry loads in two opposite directions. It is particularly suitable for carrying liquid loads, such as petroleum, water etc., but other materials may also be carried. The device comprises a body and a turbine wheel mounted on said body, the blades of said turbine wheel being set at an acute angle .alpha. to the direction of fluid flow. The supporting rollers of at least one row are connected with the turbine wheel and the axles of said supporting rollers are set at an angle .beta. to the direction of the fluid flow, the value of said angle depend- ing on the direction of movement of the device in the fluid flow. The supporting rollers of the other row are mounted on the body. All supporting rollers are installed with a provision for moving radially with respect to the axis of the pipeline.
