ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A device for forming a stack of refuse or refuse- clarified sludge mixtures in reduced and prepared form for composting by thermal rotting includes tunnel-shaped formers of predetermined length and whose wall sections have perfora- tions or are perforated in sieve fashion. The formers of the compost ventilation frame are supported on blocks, which are in pallet form. The blocks extend from former to former, and have sieve-like distribution perforations on their upper surfaces.
