ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A device for preventing and reducing scours in the seabed at the foot of a marine structure, comprising an essentially horizontal sheet that en- circles said structure and consists of a material which deflects downward flow, and securing means for preventing displacement of the sheet relative to said structure and said seabed, wherein said sheet contains apertures allowing for neutralization of hydraulic pressure differences between the two sides of said sheet and wherein the effective flow area of said apertures can be regulated by means of strips of material attachable to the surface of said sheet.
