ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The device for preventing a collision between a part of the cutting arm and a part of the loading ramp comprises transmitter means comprising hydraulic cylinder-piston-arrange- ments, checking the position of the cutting arm and the load- ing ramp relative to the cutting machine. The working spaces of the transmitter means, which are reduced on downward move- ment of the cutting arm and on upward movement of the loading ramp, are connected via conduits with the working space of a hydraulic piston forming the receiver means. The piston, when shifted, actuates a switching member for interrupting the movements of the cutting arm and of the loading ramp.
