AP144 ABSTRACT A device (1) for preventing unintentional movement of surfaces (17, 18), which are movable towards each other, essentially comprises a cylindrical casing (2) with a crosspiece head (5) connected to said casing and extending in a transverse direction and a safety mechanism (3) within said casing for engaging a screw (4) capable of being retracted into and extended from said casing. The screw is connected via a T-shaped crosspiece to a second surface part. The safety mechanism (3) operates to prevent sudden or violent movement of the screw axially relative to the casing. 13
