Abstract A device for processing trees or the like comprises two grabbing members (3, 4) pivotable towards and away from each other about hinges (5, 6) and carrying rolls (44, 45) provided to feed trunks at an angle to the pivotal plane of the grabbing members. The hinges (5, 6) are, in a base (1) of the device, arranged movable towards and away from each other without simultaneous pivoting of the grabbing members.
