Prior art droplet-forming devices use a perforated plastic belt to form the droplets. The invention proposes that the belt is fitted with a metal reinforcement made up of metal wires or strands spaced equal distances apart in the same way as warp and weft threads. The perforations are then located in the spaces between the warp and weft strands. This ensures that the belt is stable and easy to manufacture.
