Abstract Apparatus for production of cut-out parts from a lay-up (18), such as to garments. It comprises supporting means (19) having a lay-up surface (17) for a lay-up (18), a cutting robot (16), which by means of sliding means is movable above the lay-up surface. The cutting means (70; 77) is carried by the sliding means. The cutting means is moved by means of a computer programme along the foreseen contours of those parts which are to be cut out. The supporting means (19), which can form a part of a transport means, comprises a material, which is elastically compressible. The elasticity of the material strives to form a main plane in which one can form depressions by its compressibility by applying a force against the material, e.g. depressing a lower part of cutting and collecting means respectively.
