ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE DEVICE FOR PROJECTING COLOUR PICTURES ONTO A SCREEN AND DISPLAY SYSTEM INCORPORATING SUCH A DEVICE The invention relates to devices making it possible to project onto a screen a magnified image formed on a small display cell. It consists of inserting a filter formed from parallel, coloured bands placed at a point where a real image of the cell is formed on the optical path between the illumination source and the display screen. It makes it possible to produce colour image or picture projection devices from a cell which only supplies a black and white image or picture.
