The subject of the invention is a device for protecting an opening leaf (1) of a vehicle, the opening leaf being hinged with respect to a wall (2) of the vehicle at at least one hinge (3). This device is characterized in that it comprises at least one shoe (7) secured to the opening leaf (1) at a rim thereof near where the hinge or hinges (3) are located. The shoe (7) fits under a bearing surface (10) secured to the wall (2) when the opening leaf is in the closed position, collaboration between the shoe (7) and its bearing surface (10) being such that the opening leaf cannot move away from the wall even if the hinge or hinges (3) is/are destroyed.
L'invention a pour objet un dispositif de protection d'un ouvrant (1) de véhicule, l'ouvrant étant articulé par rapport à une paroi (2) du véhicule au niveau d'au moins une charnière (3). Ce dispositif est caractérisé en ce qu'il comporte au moins un sabot (7) solidaire de l'ouvrant (1) au niveau d'un rebord de celui ci au voisinage duquel sont disposées la ou les charnières (3). Le sabot (7) vient s'engager en dessous d'une surface d'appui (10) solidaire de la paroi (2) lorsque l'ouvrant est en position fermée, la coopération du sabot (7) avec sa surface d'appui (10) étant telle que l'ouvrant ne peut être écarté de la paroi même en cas de destruction de la ou des charnières (3).
