1 PHF 78 590 ABSTRACT: A device for protection against power failures of a DC power supply, comprising two input terminals coupled to said DC power supply and a capacitor connected between these two input terminals. The device further comprises a threshold detector coupled to these two input terminals and a current source controlled by this threshold detec- tor. This current source provides a high current to output terminals of the device if the voltage at the input terminals exceeds the threshold voltage and a rel- ative low current if said voltage is less than said thres- hold voltage.
