ABSTRACT A heat recovery device comprising a heat pump, the vaporizer of which receives heat from the exhaust air of a building and the condenser of which delivers heat to the water in a container for hot consumption water. A circulation circuit for the recovery of excess heat from the container to the building is arranged in heat transferring contact with the water in a lower part of the container, the condenser and a supply connection for cold water being likewise situated in the lower part of the container. There- by one obtains a separation of the water temperature in the container and an increased efficiency of the heat pump.
