DEVICE FOR REGULATING THE POSITION OF A MOVABLE ELEMENT IN A VEHICLE, SUCH AS A SEAT OF THE LATTER ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The device comprises a screw jack haying three members. The outer member of the jack comprises a sleeve open at both ends. The intermediate member of the jack extends through the sleeve. A flange tangent to the sleeve is rotatively mounted in a fixing member fixed to the movable element. In this way, it is possible to reduce the overall length of the device while retaining the articulation of the jack and a high capacity to withstand the forces created in the event of a shock.
