ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A device is described for releasably securing a shoe to a bicycle pedal. The hooked element provided on the pedal is preferably formed in one piece with the pedal body, with the pivotal movements that are required being ensured by the inherent elasticity of the corresponding pivotal hook. This form of construction minimizes unintentional separation of the shoe from the pedal, and is rela- tively simple to construct.
