The elongate piece to be cut is clamped in a vice (9) and is in abutment against a stop (10), the latter being secured on a shaft (11) free to rotate in bearings. It is connected by a rod (19) and a shaft (20) of adjustable length to an arm (4) which carries the sawing blade (6) whereby, as the sawing operation is carried out, stop (10) rises while pivoting and loses contact with the piece being cut before the sawing operation is finished, thus the cut section is neither projected, wedged, nor even displaced by the friction of the sawing blade (6).
La pièce allongé a tronçonner étant serrée dans un étau (9) en étant appuyée contre une butée (10), celle-ci est immobilisée sur un arbre (11) libre en rotation dans des paliers, elle est reliée par une bielle (19) et une tige (20) a longueur réglable au bras (4) qui porte la lame de sciage (6) de telle sorte que, à mesure que l'opération de sciage s'exécute, la butée (?0) se soulève en pivotant et perd tout contact avec la pièce en cours de tronçonnage avant que l'opération de sciage soit terminée, d'ou il résulte que le tronçon scié n'est pas projeté ni coincé, ni même déplacé par le frot- tement de la lame de sciage (6).
