A device for repositioning vertebras of the human spine with at least a holding element to be mounted on a vertebra, comprising a yoke-like support placed on a base, said support including at least a pair of horizontally distant legs and a horizontal portion connecting said legs in the upper region, at least a tie element or pressure element mounted to said horizontal portion adjustable in height and preferably also adjustable sidewards, wherein the lower end of said tie or pressure element includes anchoring means for engaging said holding elements, characterized in that said support extending across the lying patient is provided with a pair of said legs (16, 18) which are supported along the longitudinal sides of a table, wherein the upper end each of said legs is connected through a cross piece (28).
