ABSTRACT DEVICE FOR RETAINING A KEYLOCK KEY A barrel keylock having a prismatic end for fitting a key (1) comprises a sleeve (2) for retaining the key when the lock is not in the closed position. The sleeve (2) is secured to the cylinder (3) by retaining fingers (2a) and is immobilized rotationwise by immobilizing fingers (2b) engaged in a groove of the base-plate. The sleeve (2) comprises a folded flange (2d) having two slots (2c) for two stubs (1c) of the key (1) to fit in. After the key (1) has been inserted, the lock being closed, turning the key moves the stubs (1c) behind the flange (2d), preventing the key (1) from being removed. Refer to figure 1.
