ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE An apparatus which may be referred to as a "pressuriza- tion head" is described. The apparatus is useful for impregnating the porosity surrounding a recess or "blind" hole in a porous material into which recess is inserted a metal connector (e.g. a recess in a graphite anode to receive a metallic electrical con- ductor). The method of using the apparatus is also described. The apparatus and the method of using same provide a com- plete and uniform impregnation of the material in the vicinity around the connecting hole, thus providing reduced contact corrosion.
