The present invention relates to a device for securing rotor blades axially and for eliminating rotor imbalances in axial-flow compressors or turbines in gas-turbine power plants, in which the rotor blades are anchored at their roots to axial grooves spaced around the periphery of a wheel disk, each axial groove incorporating a depression formed between the bottom of the groove and the root end, comprising a filler seated on the bottom of the groove, and a security plate inserted in each depression, said security plate bridging the gap between the root end and the filler, and which at both of the ends that project from the depression are bent in opposite directions against face surfaces of the filler, the wheel disk, and of the blade foot, any rotor imbalance being balanced out by at least one said filler.
