A-621 - 13 - ?evice for sheet-length scanning in a sheet-processing ?achine, particularly in a sheet-fed rotary printing ?ress ABSTRACT The invention relates to a device for sheet-length scanning in a sheet-processing machine, particularly in a sheet-fed rotary printing press, in which a feeder aligns the sheets to be printed at stops for the front edges of the sheets and lifts the sheets off singly from a pile of sheets (1). The device comprises suction-air- measuring nozzles consisting of drop-type suckers (5), which are aligned to the rear edges (3a) of the sheets and which, in their connection to a suction-air source, comprise switching elements (9, 10) in the circuit of the machine drive. The drop-type suckers (5) are disposed in the feeder and are directed with a scanning hole (16) at the rear edge (3a) of the uppermost sheet (3) in the pile of sheets (1) in the feeder. (Fig. 1)
