A first unit (10) comprises a first transmitter (12) for wireless transmission of a signal in the form of periodic frames comprising identity information encoded in varying form in each frame, and a second unit (20) comprises a first receiver (22) for receiving said signal and for causing an alarm (29) to operate in response to failure to receive or to recognize identity information. Means (16, 26, 15a, 25a, 15b, 25b) are provided for automatically deactivating at least one of the first and second units when they are physically close together, and for automatically activating said units when they are physically separate from each other.
Une première unité (10) comprend un premier émetteur (12) pour l'émission sans fil d'un signal sous forme de trames périodiques comprenant une information d'identification codée sous une forme variable à chaque trame, et une deuxième unité (20) comprend un premier récepteur (22) pour recevoir ledit signal et commander le fonctionnement d'un avertisseur (28) en réponse à la non-réception ou à la non-reconnaissance d'une information d'identification. Des moyens (16, 26, <u>15a</u>, <u>25a</u>, <u>15b</u>, <u>25b</u>) sont prévus pour la désactivation automatique d'au moins l'une des première et deuxième unités lorsqu'elles sont physiquement rapprochées l'une de l'autre, et l'activation automatique desdites unités lorsqu'elles sont physiquement éloignées l'une de l'autre.
