The invention relates to a device for smothering a fire in a building. The inventive device is characterised in that it comprises a pump which is defined by a hollow body containing a fire-resistant component and an actuator which, upon impact with the surface of the building, activates a detonator, thereby spreading the fire-resistant component over the entire surface of the radius of action. According to the invention, the detonator and the explosive charge are located inside a receptacle and said detonator is connected by means of an electric cable to the actuator(s) mounted on the surface of the pump housing.

L'invention concerne un dispositif permettant d'étouffer un incendie dans un bâtiment, se caractérisant par le fait qu'il comprend, d'une part, une bombe constituée d'un corps creux contenant une charge de composé ignifuge et, d'autre part, un actionneur. Lorsque le dispositif est projeté contre une surface du bâtiment, l'actionneur active un détonateur qui projette le composant ignifuge sur toute la surface du champ d'action du dispositif, le détonateur et la charge explosive étant situés à l'intérieur d'un réceptacle. Le détonateur est connecté par l'intermédiaire d'un câble électrique à un ou plusieurs actionneurs montés au niveau de la surface du corps de la bombe.
