ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A device is provided for stabilizing the mean wave length of a wide spectrum source including, placed in the optical path of the beam emitted by the source, a filter whose spectrum is centered on the mean wave length of the spectrum emitted by the source but whose width is less than that of the emitted spectrum. Said device finds an application in gyrometers formed of an optical fiber ring interferometer.
