The invention relates to a device (1) for storing luggage for a public transport vehicle, that comprises a base defining a reference surface, a first bearing surface (3'), a second bearing surface (4'), each of the bearing surfaces (3', 4') being essentially planar and inclined relative to said reference surface, and both bearing surfaces (3', 4') converging towards said reference surface and defining a storage volume (5) capable of receiving a piece of luggage.
