ABSTRACT OF THE INVENTION A device for storing, transporting and utilizing wire rod, on which a ring-shaped wire rod coil (4) is prepared, is described. The main feature of this device is that it comprises substantially two frames (1, 21) rigidly connected together,the first (1) of which constitutes the spool for winding said wire rod coil, and the second (21) of which constitutes an axial support for said coil, said first frame being provided with support means (9) to enable the first frame of another device to be rested on it.
