Abstract of the Disclosure The present invention relates to a wire stripping device. A pair of jaws mount a first pair of cutting blades for movement towards each other substantially in a plane to cut insulation. A yoke with spring arms mounts a second pair of cutting blades at right angles to the first blades for movement towards each other substantially in the same plane as the first blades as well as for movement axially when an adjustable stop is reached. A first handle, through linkage, moves the jaws, and the jaws by cam ears move the yoke arms whereby all the blades are caused to move towards a central axis during the insulation cutting action. The second handle connected by a push bar to the yoke moves the yoke axially to separate the first and second blade means when a spring bias is overcome when the stop is reached.
