The present invention relates to a heating device for submersion within a tank of water to boil the water to produce steam, and for superheating the steam, comprising an outer sleeve (12); an inner sleeve (14) partially disposed through the outer sleeve and having a proximal end, and a distal end in the form of an outlet port (14c), the inner sleeve (14) further defining a vapor chamber (14a); a heating element (16) disposed within the vapor chamber and an electrical communication with an external electrical power supply, the heating element (16) adapted to produce heat in n response to electrical energy from the power supply; a steam inlet tube (26) extending outwardly from the inner tube and in fluid communication with the vapor chamber; and a one way valve (22) disposed within the vapor chamber adjacent the outlet port (14c), the valve (22) adapted to selectively gate the flow of vapor from within the vapor chamber through the outlet port; wherein the heating device is configured to heat the water within the tank to a boil to produce steam, the steam inlet tube (26) adapted to direct the steam into the vapor chamber (14a) wherein the steam is superheated through direct contact with the heating element producing vapor, the vapor generating sufficient pressure to open the valve and exit the heating device through the outlet port (14c).
La présente invention concerne un dispositif chauffant immergé dans un réservoir d'eau pour amener l'eau à ébullition, produire de la vapeur et surchauffer cette vapeur. Ce dispositif se compose: d'une chemise externe (12); d'une chemise interne (14) dont une partie traverse la chemise externe, cette chemise interne (14) étant caractérisée par une extrémité proximale et une extrémité distale formant un d'orifice d'évacuation (14c), la chemise interne (14) définissant en outre une chambre à vapeur (14a); d'un élément chauffant (16) disposé dans la chambre à vapeur en communication électrique avec une source externe d'alimentation électrique, cet élément électrique (16) étant conçu pour dégager de la chaleur sous l'effet de l'énergie électrique délivrée par l'alimentation électrique; d'un tube d'admission de vapeur (26) dépassant du tube intérieur et en communication fluide avec la chambre à vapeur; et d'une soupape (22) disposée à l'intérieur de la chambre à vapeur au voisinage de l'orifice d'évacuation (14c), cette soupape (22) étant conçue pour débiter sélectivement la vapeur par l'orifice d'évacuation depuis la chambre à vapeur. La configuration du dispositif chauffant lui permet de porter à ébullition l'eau contenue dans le réservoir pour dégager de la vapeur, le tube d'admission de vapeur (26) étant conçu pour envoyer la vapeur dans la chambre à vapeur (14a) où elle est surchauffée au contact direct de l'élément chauffant générant la vapeur, laquelle vapeur produit une pression suffisant à ouvrir la soupape, ce qui lui permet de s'échapper du dispositif chauffant par l'orifice d'évacuation (14c).
