The device for the boiling of liquids, in the form of a pot, comprises a base (1) with a region (2') formed by a solid thickness in a material having good or excellent heat conductivity and a region (2") of the same base (1) which forms a "sandwich". In this latter region the upper and lower layers (3) are in metal, like the remaining part of the base (1), while the internal layers of the "sandwich" (2") are formed by heat-insulating and refractory materials such as sand or fibre glass. Alternatively, the less elongated region (2'), formed by a solid material without a cavity inside thereof, with good heat conductivity, can be welded directly to the heat-insulating "sandwich" region (2").

Dispositif servant à faire bouillir des liquides et prenant la forme d'un récipient. Le dispositif est constitué d'une base (1) dont une région (2') est formée d'un matériau solide offrant une bonne ou une excellente conductivité thermique et dont une autre région (2'') de la même base (1) est constituée de plusieurs couches. Dans cette dernière région, les couches supérieure et inférieure (3) sont en métal, comme le reste de la base (1), alors que les couches internes de cette région (2'') sont constituées de matériaux calorifuges et réfractaires, par exemple de sable ou de fibre de verre. La région la moins allongée (2'), formée d'un matériau solide sans cavité et offrant une bonne conductivité thermique, peut être soudée directement à la région (2'') calorifuge constituée de plusieurs couches.
