ABSTRACT A device for the conveying of sheets removes the uppermost sheet from a pile of sheets by a conveying head. The conveying head holds the sheet under suction as a result of vacuum. The sheet is held on the conveying head in the suction position and is moved by friction with one or more suction-air-shrouded rolling bodies of the conveying head. Different sheet conveying distances are possible as the conveying head itself does not perform the conveying motion.
