ABSTRACT The invention relates to an inclinometer for dynamically measuring inclinations to the vertical. The inclinometer includes a resilient thread consisting of an optic fibre which is firmly held at one end thereof in a holder. The firmly held end of the fibre is arranged to co-act with a light source. The fibre is completely free of all load and its free end lies close to the surface of a detector means and transmits light in punctiform onto the surface of the detector.
