ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE A device for the formation of groups of cigarettes of at least one row of cigarettes (S1-S7, S1-S6) arranged parallel side-by-side, comprises a feeding hopper (10) which is subdivided by partition walls (110, 210, 310, 410, 510, 610) into a plurality of adjacent passageways (1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7) said passageways opening into a collecting chamber delimited by a bottom plate (11 ) and by side pushers (13, 14). The partition wall located in the middle zone of the row of cigarettes, extends down to the bottom plate (11) and engages by its terminal portion (310A, 410A) a groove provided in the said bottom plate. In this manner, the cigarette row being formed is divided into two row portions. - 2 -
