Device for the osteosynthesis of a spinal segment by the anterior route, characterized in that it comprises at least two bone anchorage elements (1) for anchorage in the vertebral bodies (L2, L3...) by the anterior route, a frame (5) comprising a rod (6) adapted to be received in the bone anchorage elements, a plate (7) disposed roughly parallel to the rod and rigidly connected to the latter to form a closed frame. Means (4, 3) are provided for clamping the rod in the anchorage elements so as to fix the latter at a predetermined distance apart, and screws (16) extend through openings (9) in the plate which are so profiled that the screwing of the screws (16) in the vertebrae automatically brings the two adjacent vertebrae closer together and thus achieves a compression of an intervertebral filler (G) replacing a vertebral disk. The association of a plate (7) and a rod (6) in the form of a frame affords the advantage of providing four vertebral anchorage points instead of only two in devices of the prior art, which prevents any offsetting of one vertebra (L2 or L3) relative to the other.

L'invention porte sur un dispositif utilis~ dans l'ost~osynth­se d'un segment de la colonne vert~brale par l'abord ant~rieur. Ce dispositf se caract~rise en ce qu'il comprend au moins deux ~l~ments (1) d'ancrage des os permettant de fixer dans les corps (L2, L3...) vert~braux, par l'abord ant~rieur, un cadre (5) comprenant une tige (6) adapt~e pour Útre accueillie dans les ~l~ments d'ancrage des os, une plaque (7) plac~e pratiquement parall­le ~ la tige et reli~e solidement ~ cette derni­re de fa×on ~ former un cadre ferm~. Un dispositif (4, 3) est pr~vu pour fixer la tige dans les ~l~ments d'ancrage ~ une distance pr~d~termin~e, et des vis (16) s'~tendent dans les orifices (9) de la plaque, ces orifices ~tant profil~s de sorte que le vissage des vis (16) dans les vert­bres rapproche automatiquement les deux vert­bres adjacentes et comprime, par cons~quent, une charge (G) intervert~brale rempla×ant un disque vert~bral. L'association d'une plaque (7) et d'une tige (6) se pr~sentant sous forme d'un cadre a l'avantage de fournir quatre points d'ancrage vert~braux au lieu de deux dans le dispositif de la technique ant~rieure, ce qui empÚche tout d~calage de vert­bre (L2 ou L3) l'une par rapport ~ l'autre.
