The invention relates to a device for the positioning of a magazine, said magazine being movable into a plurality of positions, with it being possible for positions to be assumed for the changing of printing plates, the replacement of the printing plates of the magazine, machine servicing and normal operation. Such a device for positioning is to be of such design that as little space as possible is taken up between the printing units and that the magazine fits inconspicuously into the overall printing press during printing. This is achieved in that the magazine (1) is held in such a manner as to be displaceable in a vertical guide (2) and swivelable about a horizontal shaft (3) and in that drives are provided for displacing and tilting. Thanks to such a design, it is possible to position the magazine (1) in a normal-operation position (A) such that it covers as a protective guard the delivery side of the printing unit (4). The printing plates are replaceable from above in this normal-operation position (A).
