A device for the production of a dental working model for preparation of a prosthetic work comprises a body member having a blind arcuate cavity bounded by facing inner and outer cavity walls, for receiving semi-liquid model material. The blind end of the arcuate cavity is closed by a sacrificial membrane which is integral with the body member. The membrane is of sufficient thickness to contain the semi-liquid model material within the arcuate cavity and of sufficient thinness to be easily removed, e.g. by grinding.

Un dispositif pour la production d'un modèle de travail dentaire destiné à la réalisation d'une prothèse est constitué d'un élément de base ayant une cavité arquée borgne délimitée par des parois interne et externe se faisant face et destinée à recevoir le matériau semi-liquide constituant le modèle. L'extrémité fermée de la cavité arquée est recouverte d'une membrane sacrificielle faisant corps avec l'élément de base. La membrane est suffisamment épaisse pour maintenir le matériau semi-liquide constituant le modèle à l'intérieur de la cavité arquée, et suffisamment fine pour être facilement enlevée, par exemple par meulage.
