ABSTRACT OF THE DISCLOSURE The invention relates to a device for protection of plants from attacks by harmful insects and is shaped as a tube (1) arranged around the plant, the upper end (2) of the tube being flanged out in such away that the outer edge of the flanged- -out portion (6, 7) is pointing downwards. According to the invention the tube is made from a plastic sheet material, which is assembled to a tube by means of welding seams, (4, 5), said tube being folded at its upper end (2) so that a collar is formed. The collar is fixed by additional welding seams (8, 9).
