The invention concerns a system for tracking and locating objects (10) arranged in a storage space, comprising a transponder (16) associated with each object (10), provided with an identification code of the associated object, tracking means (18) for locating a given transponder (16) on the basis of a signal emitted by said transponder (16), a signalling system (30) physically independent of the objects to be tracked and of the transponders (16), and provided with signalling members (30) distributed in the storage space, a database (32) enabling to determine, for each site in the storage space, one or several said signalling members located in the proximity of said site, and control means (26) for querying the tracking means (18) concerning the site of a transponder (16) corresponding to a given identification code, for consulting the database (32) to determine the signalling member(s) (30) corresponding to the site determined by the tracking means (18) and to activate said signalling member(s) (30) located nearby.
Un système de repérage et de localisation d'objets (10) disposés dans un espace de rangement, comporte un transpondeur (16) associé à chaque objet (10), muni d'un code d'identification de l'objet associé, des moyens de repérage (18) aptes à localiser un transpondeur donné (16) à partir d'un signal émis par ce transpondeur (16), un système d'indication (30) physiquement indépendant des objets à repérer (10) et des transpondeurs (16), et muni d'organes d'indication (30) répartis dans l'espace de rangement, une base de données (32) permettant de déterminer, pour chaque emplacement dans l'espace de rangement, un ou plusieurs desdits organes d'indication situés à proximité dudit emplacement, et des moyens de commande (26) aptes à interroger les moyens de repérage (18) sur l'emplacement d'un transpondeur (16) correspondant à un code d'identification donné, à consulter la base de données (32) pour déterminer le ou lesdits organes d'indication (30) correspondant à l'emplacement déterminé par les moyens de repérage (18) et à activer le ou lesdits organes d'indication (30) situés à proximité.
