A system and method for transferring a fluid from a first container to a second container, the system comprising a first container (112) having a fluid (126) therein, the first container being sealed by a septum (124) and a piston (122), the second container being sealed at its mouth by a pierceable septum (132) and having a plunger (130) at the opposite end, a moveable needle shuttle (116) having first (144) and second (146) piercing ends, the arrangement being such that upon advancement of the first container with respect to the second container, a second one of the piercing ends (144) is adapted to pierce plunger (130) of the second container and a first piercing end (146) being designed to pierce the septum (124) of the first container.

La présente invention concerne un système et un procédé permettant de transférer un liquide d'un premier récipient à un second récipient. Ledit système comprend les éléments suivants : un premier récipient (112) contenant un liquide (126), ledit premier récipient étant fermé hermétiquement par un septum (124) et un piston (122) ; un second récipient dont l'orifice est fermé hermétiquement par un septum pouvant être percé (132) et qui est doté d'un poussoir (130) à l'extrémité opposée ; et une navette pour aiguille amovible (116) présentant une première (144) et une seconde (146) extrémité de perçage. La disposition des éléments est telle que, lorsque le premier récipient avance par rapport au second récipient, une seconde extrémité de perçage (144) est adaptée pour percer le poussoir (130) du second récipient et une première extrémité de perçage (146) est conçue pour percer le septum (124) du premier récipient.
